What exactly is beef jerky?!1 Dried meat. O.K. I just haven't stomached it. Maybe I will, depending on the DUer input here.

5. Oh, there are cheap kinds and there are products like these
http://www.blackbeardbeefjerky.com/

yeah...it's a bit pricey and you can find it in some places...this is the place to go. It's my favorite next to Jack Links...here is a link to Jack Links!

http://www.jacklinks.com/

They are both very good...in my opinion. If you are just getting into beef jerky, it's just dried meat strips...very satisfying after a long night out at the bar, mind you ( I can vouch for that ) If you try it, let me know what you think!! I'm usually around, but I think you know that

8. Actually, I don't think I will be GETTING INTO it, just thought others would find it mildly
interesting that I have never tried it.

11. I have a question about Jack Links?
Why do the campers insist on messing with Sasquatch?

12. I had to try beef jerky just to see what my ancestors ate. I was not
disappointed.

I do not make a regular diet of beef jerky, but it is OK on occasion. I hope what I ate was representative of what they ate.

14. make your own beef jerkey - it's easy and tastes WAY better than the crap in a plastic bag
it is good lean beef, salted/brined/smoked/flavored and/or any combo of those. It is expensive because a lb of beef might make a couple oz's of jerkey - all the moisture is gone.

great for foot travel, high protein snack/food, salt replenishment from working (drink water too!)

15. The first time I ate beef jerky was with a friend of mine. Her father owned
a bar and he took both of us out for his visiting day. We were both eight years old. He fed us beef jerky. He also took us to the local roller derby. I wouldn't recommend either except for an exotic one time experience.
