Driver arrested in crash that severed man's arm

Police arrested on Wednesday the driver of a vehicle
involved in a crash near downtown that resulted in a
man’s armed being severed.

Joseph Maverick, 26, is facing charges of leaving the
scene of a crash with serious injury and tampering with evidence.

Police said Maverick fled the scene of the crash and
disposed of the severed arm in an outdoor trash bin.
