Picture it. The British Navy, during the age of sail.
A British naval vessel was out patrolling the seas when the lookout in the crow's nest shouted, "I see an enemy ship!" The captain said to the first mate, "Go get me my red jacket." The first mate said, "Why?" The captain replied, "So that if I am wounded, the crew won't see the blood and will fight on." 'How noble," thought the first mate. He got the jacket, and the ship and crew fought the battle successfully. The next day, the lookout in the crow's nest shouted, "I see 20 enemy ships!" The captain said to the first mate, "Quick, get me my brown pants!"

2. Actually, it's an old joke |

I heard it in sixth grade, though it was about pirates back then. It's been QUITE a few years since then.
I will admit, though, that Bill's delivery was great.
