My eyes are fucked up, and I took Ambien over an hour and a half ago.
And no, the two things are not related.

3-ish days ago my eyes turned into a what felt like a sandbox while itching and being extremely sensitive to light. Let me also mention that it feels like I've got 2 ice picks sticking out of each eye. I ended up missing work entirely yesterday, and leaving part way through today to go to the doctor. No redness, no inflammation. Suspected "neurological" (ie: some sort of non-standard migraine) in origin - referral appointment being made for an ophthalmologist. How I'm supposed to handle work and ... LIGHT ... until then, I have no idea. Computers are virtually impossible for more than a few minutes.

Recent trouble sleeping... more than the normal occasional sleepless night. Scored some Ambien I hear SO much about at the doctor today. It said to take it 15-30 minutes before you wanted to fall asleep. I took it at 8:05pm. It's now 9:45. WTF? Can anything work right for me, seriesly?

Oddly enough, rather than feeling like I'm going to pass out - I feel like I drank too much coffee.

:banghead:

2. ambien rocks. but not for sleeping. It is trippy though.
I also would sleep/eat on it.

You should try ativan or even benadryl.

8. Yeah Ativan, Valium, etc always worked for me
Never tried Ambien but now that I hear it has... interesting side effects, I just might. On the other hand Benadryl works, but makes me feel like shit the next day.

4. NOPE.
And if tripping balls would make my eyes not huuuuuuuuuuuurt right now I'd be all for it.

2 hours since I took the Ambien.

6. I'm IN bed.
I just grabbed the 'puter from the table next to me... wanted to look up xanax and ambien. I was just given some xanax too ... thought maybe I could take that now and it would help me sleep. Not enough information for me to be comfortable with it.

I haven't moved from bed since I took it, btw. I just feel too awake and restless so I wanted to see if I could find anything online. I've given up.

As for the eyes.... it's uncomfortable.
