5. HNIC of course! (Hockey Night in Canada)
I also like The Fifth Estate, and The Hour (news show).

I have a friend who loves "Little Mosque on the Prairie". Luckily, I live where we can receive Canadian broadcasts.

7. Is that how Canadians spell "favorite"?
I can never keep the differences straight...

:hide:

Would X-Files count? It was largely filmed in Vancouver, IIRC.

16. None. The few Canadian shows I have seen are pretty dull.
I haven't seen any of the shows mentioned in the OP, however...in fact, I never heard of them.

23. I forgot about that show - to be fair, I only saw it a few times, and
probably never a full show, but that was very funny.
I stand corrected - They had one good show.

17. SCTV, The Kids in the Hall, Maniac Mansion
Both SCTV and Maniac Mansion featured Joe Flaherty, widely considered the Laurence Olivier of Canada.

18. I recently discovered one called "Durham County"
It's about a former Toronto cop who retires to a small development in the middle of nowhere (literally, there is a 360'-degree shot in the first episode where you can see that the cul-de-sac is bordered on all four sides by high-capacity power-line towers off in the distance) after his partner is murdered and his wife recovers from stage-4 cancer, only to find himself in the middle of a sex-murder spree.

Oh and he's just about the most corrupt TV cop hero ever.
