I am so walking on air this week...
In the Annals of Romance, it is listed there there have only been five "perfect" dates in the history of mankind. I think I bumped that number up to six this weekend.

I overdressed, overspent, and overlooked a lot, but were I to do it over, I wouldn't change a thing. She emailed me this morning, "I've always wondered what the perfect date was like. Now I know. Thanks so much."

i must now reconsider and re-evaluate my earlier assessment that Facebook is good for nothing other than telling the world how good your last pee felt. :P

Walking. On. Air.

I'm in the process of getting a date together with this girl I've been talking to for the last couple weeks. I can only hope mine goes as well as yours!

3. Awwww.
Congratulations on being the perfect date. I'm not really surprised by that. ;)

Hang on to that feeling too - it's the best part of being alive.

12. Given your description below,
I have to say it really does sound like you planned the perfect evening! But since she wondered what a perfect date was like, not a perfect evening, I have to believe she meant you, rather than the events. The perfect evening is only perfect when it's spent with someone very special.

You know I think you're sweet and I'm grinning ear to ear thinking about how you must feel about that email.

On my first date with my husband, whom I still adore, he took me to hear a Christmas concert (his best friend is the drummer in a highly acclaimed jazz band) and on our way back to the car, it started to snow. First snow of the year. Walking through Boston Public Gardens, I thought he ordered it just for us. I thought he hung the moon, and I still do. That was 10 years ago.

I hope your lady friend fondly recalls this first date 10 years from now. And if things change in the meantime, all I really wish you is happiness.

5. Here's a snap of the restaurant we went to...
Here's a snap of the restaurant we went to-- we had a window seat. Perfect meal and perfect drinks. And believe it or not about fifteen minutes before we left, the stadium just across the highway lit off a fireworks display at *eye level* from where we were. Fireworks... are you kidding me? Although I'm usually not one for signs & portents... the timing of the display was a little too eerie.

But really, it was just perfect because of her. We just clicked. If I tried to explain any more, it would take pages... :P

7. Beautiful!
We were in Sidney, BC once, on a rainy winter night, and went to a restaurant set up similarly. It was bad weather and we were the only people in it. I felt like royalty.
