You've heard of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," right?

Well, now there's Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, not to mention Huckleberry Finn and Zombie Jim.

Ho hum.


I have to say that this whole concept was thoroughly exhausted with the publication of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, if not before. How many more classics will be reenvisioned this way?

IMO it would be far more interesting to craft a wholly new (monster-related) work in a narrative voice appropriate to the time instead of just shoe-horning the concept into yet another public domain classic.

1. Yeah, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was clever

But the concept is already tired. It didn't help that P&P&Z also contained ninjas - come on, they shouldn't be allowed to use up TWO geek memes in the same book.
