The neighborhood cat reminds me a lot of Wile E. Coyote |
He's always chasing squirrels and birds but never catches them. I wouldn't be surprised to see him out there with a big box that says "ACME" on it and assembling one of those rocket backpacks. It's a good thing we feed him.

1. Well, at least the cat is showing some initiative and effort. |
I had a cat one time (housecat mind you) and a mouse scurried across the room along the wall. The cat watched the mouse, looked at me, yawned, got up, stretched, then walked over to the food dish and started eating.
So, I got a mouse trap when I bought more cat food.

2. lol, sounds like my cat |
no mice in the apartment, thankfully, but bugs, especially those f-ing sprickets. The cat will watch them, occasionally sniffing them or batting NEAR them, but otherwise make no effort to catch them, lol

3. Reminds me of my younger sister's cat, Precious |
When we were both still living with my mom, Precious would chase mice but not really catch them. One night my sister woke up because her mattress was going up and down..Precious was chasing the mouse around underneath the bed without catching it. I told her it sounded like an episode of Tom and Jerry..:)
