2. ROFL
she's not been on a steady diet, eating 'catch as catch can' will bring on the gas

once she's on a stable diet the gas subsides

3. I hope you are right.
I'm afraid she might have a belly full of worms. I'm not sure when I can get her in to a vet. Maybe not til Saturday. She seems pretty happy and energetic but there seems to be something wrong with the pads of her feet and she seems to have poison ivy.

4. her pads are probably just sore and road wrecked,
if you can keep her in the kitchen, a bit of olive oil well massaged in should help, it's ok if she licks it off

poison ivy?? I doubt it. fleas maybe or heat rash, give her a bath and she might clear right up

5. The olive oil idea is perfect.
I've already bathed her and there are no fleas on her but she is scratching and biting. She made her back foot bleed a little. Also, her sad little belly has what looks like a blister on it.

8. at first I thought she was ok but now I'm not so sure
A trip to the vet will give me some more info. At any rate, I'm not planning to put any signs out that I found her. I don't think she needs to go back where she came from.

9. is your dog up to date on shots and stuff?
parvo is nasty, but don't awfulize her condition until she's had some major rest and a couple good days of regular meals.

poor little thing, you get double good karma points for kindness to baby animals

10. Fortunately, we just finished getting all of our animals up to date with their vaccinations.
We have 2 cats and a dog. So, I think they will be ok.

I'm also not sure if what I'm hearing are tummy noises or some kind of weird throat noise. She might be sleeping really soundly and snoring a little.

12. thanks. I hope I'm doing the right thing.
I'm definitely doing the olive oil tomorrow. When I gave her some of my dog's kibble, she inhaled it, so I think she can use the extra calories.

13. You truly rock ; your dedication is inspiring
My rescue pup was left out in the 110 texas heat and was severely dehydrated when i found her. I don't necessarily believe in the god with the white beard but sometimes i think the universe has a way of looking out for some small creatures

14. It's funny you say that
because even though we can't keep her, I still feel like she fell into my lap for some reason.

7. you can use oil on any part of her body, just make sure it's food grade
cuz she will lick it but that's ok, it will probably be good for her. a puppy needs lots of calories to grow and if meals have been sparse, the oil will help her a lot

16. About the gas thing
I think all pit bulls fart. A LOT. But a good diet means it at least won't stink.

18. WORMS ALERT!
Bad gas is a sign of sever worm infestation. Get that thing to a vet.

20. Do have the vet check her for worms,
but once she is accustomed to your dog food, say a week or so, the gas should subside. Again, you are a wonderful person to take her in.
