Seriously.

I see them.

I don't want to see them.

I know women get upset when men look.

Which is why I don't want to see them.

It's not deliberate or anything.

And I probably wouldn't know what to go do with them anyway, but then I don't know how to do lots of things...

Grr!

I know some men are deliberate letches. And some aren't. Please lump me in with the latter...

2. My dear Deja Q...
Most men (hetero men, anyway) look because it makes them feel good...

It's like looking at anything that makes you happy. You do it so you'll feel happy...

Cleavage is sexy.

That's what it boils down to...

4. Ummm- I don't get upset if a man looks
At my cleavage. Especially if i am wearing a low cut top. It's to be expected. I don't necessarily think that guys who look are "letches" either. Although I might be uncomfortable with someone staring at my boobs the whole time I'm around them. But a glance or two..pretty harmless in my opinion.

I enjoy when women wear sexy clothing, but am baffled when they get offended if someone actually takes a moment to appreciate it.

I can tell you from experience it's a real non-starter of a pick up technique.

19. I've read that human bosoms developed their rounded character when
humans started to mate while-er looking into each other's eyes instead of both looking in the same direction, if you get my drift.
The roundness was meant to remind the menfolk of bottoms.
Honest. I read that in that lovely book called "The Descent of Woman." It's got lots of great theories.
So admiring cleavage is just a natural thing to do. Within reason. As is displaying it. Within reason.

11. It is when can't extract their eyes off them that it becomes a problem

Every woman has had the experience of being around a man or men who just can't seem to avert their glances away from them (and I am not talking about low cut tops or super tight shirts, just normal clothing).

And, women get upset because women KNOW what men are thinking when they are looking at them. And, frankly, women may not like the fact that you are thinking about them that way.

14. I think post #11 has hit on the real issue -
men being men, we just can't help the occasional furtive glance and/or appreciative smile.

But men who just rudely stare don't have much respect for women.

because that's the way mother nature programmed straight men

if you don't know the answer to this question, you're either not a straight male or you're taking some drug that neuters you (mostly likely an SSRI)

i don't mind guys looking

i mind guys grabbing and i mind guys deciding that if i have cleavage i don't have a brain

looking, an expression of appreciation, is fine

there IS a difference between being a letch and having eyes in your head

am i a freak because i check out a cute guy's ass? even if he's wearing plumber's pants and shows some nice butt cleavage?

16. I think like this. A woman invites some men to look and does the opposite to others.
It is like letting someone into your space. Some people you let in others you do not. A man wants to be invited in and so looks hoping for the invite to look. If the woman does not invite him in she doesn't want the attention. A man should respect that.

17. Evolution.
Hetero men are programmed to notice proportion and that includes an attraction to life-sustaining tah-tahs. Evolution is really inefficient and apparently it was easier to make us what to notice all the time than it was to make us notice only when it is socially appropriate. I try not to be obvious, but it is hard to fight 200,000 years of evolution.

I don't think that makes you a letch. Staring at it when you are having a conversation with someone is different though.

On another note, nobody is allowed to look at my Porsche. The one I saved for years to buy, that I wax every weekend, and that I like to drive around in public venues (the more people the better). Nobody is allowed to look at it. Letches.

23. I used to work in a food warehouse and the woman at the desk where we'd pick up our orders
was young, well-endowed, and wore low cut tops in order to tempt the guys to look. I would just smile and look her in the eye because I knew her game. When some of the big-wigs were coming to look the place over our boss told her to wear something less revealing.

Yes, cleavage: women know what they are doing.

28. They want to feel it.
I'm not ashamed to admit that, when I see an attractive woman, sooner or later I wonder - silently, most of the time - what it would be like to have sex with her. Seeing cleavage reminds me of caressing a woman's chest with my hands and later my face, as I and many other men do when we're being physically intimate. There's not much more to it than that. (shrug)

I find some men (and women) are delightful flirts, able to interact in a fun way with someone they find attractive without being a creepy asshole. It's not that difficult to do.
