I was going to have to testify in an assault trial next week. I just got a call |
|
that the perp pleaded guilty. I'm so happy.
I didn't know if the actual testifying would be worse than the wait (3 days possibly) that I was going to have to be in court waiting to testify.
Anyone ever testify at a trial before?

2. I was at a landlord/tenant thing once. My neighbour was being |

evicted despite the fact she was the glue that kept the whole building from falling apart during a garbage strike in summer.
This was an assault trial. The perp interrupted some domestic yelling that was going on between a friend of his and his ex (I think). He interrupted by slicing the woman's cheek from ear to mouth with a knife. The police charged him with assault with a weapon and everything except for attempted murder.

One was at the trial for a friend when her dad was tried for molesting and raping her when I was 13. Another couple were for trials for people I busted for shoplifting at the store I was managing. Another two were for at the armed robbery trials for the same store. The waiting is worse than the testifying, there's usually no place to sit, it's interminable, you never know if the trial is going to be continued, it sucks.

board of appeals. It basically comes down to defending my determination about a person's ability to work.
I am nervous, and I have dry mouth, so always need water. I've always done just fine, but I don't like doing it.

8. I was to testify in a attempted murder |
|
thing once, but it was all blown out of proportion with saying it was attempted murder because stuff was thrown and all that shit. There were other charges, but attmepted murder was the big one. Then a cop shows up at my door about a week before the court date and says I don't have to go. I aksed him why and he said either the charges were dropped or the guy pled guilty to something. I asked if he had a paper or anything for me proving that I didn't have to go and he said "No, I'm telling you." I didn't feel confident in that, but it was a few months ago and I haven't benn visited yet.
