My friend's dog was hit by a car late last night

My friend's dog was hit by a car late last night
I got a phone call from my friend's babysitter telling me to hurry to her house. Her son's pitbull, Buddy, was hit by a car last night and I had to rush him to the emergency vet. He suffered from a severely broken leg and internal bleeding, barely alive.

She couldn't afford to pay to save him--the bill would have amounted to thousands of dollars--so she had him put to sleep. The kid, 16, was crying like a little boy, he was so devastated. He and I watched as the vet euthanized him. They made a plaster pawprint of him as a memorial. RIP, Buddy. Nana will miss you.
