Officials: Pa. Teen Wrapped Tabby Cat In Duct Tape

PHILADELPHIA -- Investigators say a Philadelphia teenager wrapped a cat in duct tape, put it in a shopping bag and left it in a neighbor's backyard.

The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says 19-year-old James Davis was arrested Saturday on animal cruelty charges.

Official George Bengal says Davis admitted to taping up the cat from neck to tail after he spotted it in his yard Sept. 21.

PHILADELPHIA - The Pennsylvania SPCA says an arrest has been made in the duct taping of a female cat named "Sticky."

Fox 29's Nefertiti Jaquez reported,19-year-old James Davis, of the 2100 block of 22nd Street, was taken into custody Sunday.

Humane Law Enforcement Officers tell Fox 29 News that Davis admitted to taping the cat because he was "annoyed." He said that he saw the cat in his backyard and he didn't know what came over him.

Officers also say Davis left the duct-taped cat in his yard for several hours but because it was screaming so much, he dumped the cat across the walkway.
