In 2 weeks or so I caught a little heat for Carolina BBQ and Manhattan Clam Chowder, What other meals can I add my twist to and incite the riotous?

I'm just curious about what foods cause such concern to alter?

Know any?

:D

1. Chili.
Add beans (extra points for an unusual variety like adzuki,) use poultry or tofu instead of beef, tomato juice or any odd thing that you find in the fridge but whatever you do DON'T USE TWO HABANEROS!

2. LoL.. funny you mention chili
I'm talking daughter through chili today over the phone. She kept asking for specifics, so I told her it is basically.. tomatoes, meat, beans, onions, and spices.. the rest is magic.

Magic? -yup.. once all this cooks it tastes like none of the parts: it tastes like chili!

Huh? -yup

What beans? -Whatcha got?

Bah, dad.. you are being silly. -Just think.. chili was first made by a guy named Cookie on a wagon.. think he cared what stuff he "needed" so much as what he had available?

-pause-

Dad, it is 2009. -Well, chili is spicy stew thrown in a pot.

You are nuts. -Well, it is your chili. Do what you want.

I have pintos, will they work? -Yup.

Hamburger or sausage? --Suuuuure!

hehe :)

She called a few minutes ago and said the house smells like chili and thanks.

3. make meat loaf WITHOUT tomatoes.
Put in sauteed onions and shrooms instead.

Tastes great (I'm allergic to tomatoes -- too acid)!!

:D
