6. We're wasting our time my friend
New Jersey produces 22% of the blueberries, 5% of the peaches and 2% of greenhouse/nursery crops sold in the US. The Garden State ranks Number Two in blueberry production, Number Three in cranberries and bell peppers, and Number Four in peaches. New Jersey has the highest concentration of horses in the US.

- Taylor Pork Roll and Ham - a great breakfast stable….better than bacon, better than sasauge. Salty, hint of sweetness. Great with eggs.

- M&Ms - manufactured in Hackettstown, N.J.

- Campbell Soup - still made in Camden, N.J.

And NJ people are among the most Liberal in the US of A.

22. Also 2/3rds of the world's eggplants are grown in New Jersey.

And lots of flag factories.

Attacking New Jersey is un-American.

9. I realize that...
I have an ex-girlfriend from Sewell, three of my best friends are from Belvidere, Ramsey and Trenton. Several former friends went to Rowan U. in Glassboro. I have to be honest, I still hate NJ and have vowed to never ever spend another night in your cursed state...it's brought me nothing but misery every time I've stepped foot on your soil.

there, my car was stolen (ended up in Newark) and my cat ran away. I couldn't wait to get back to CT.

14. You could always go with:
NJ: The only place where a corrupt prick like Chris Christie could be ahead in the polls. (Seriously though, what the hell is going on on your side of the Hudson? It's like people have no idea who this guy really is or whose pocket he's in. A former federal prosecutor who has never been able to get away from the rumors and innuendo that he's a bribe-taker who abused the powers of his office for political opportunism, personal gain and cronyism...yeah, there's a guy who should be governor.)

For all my anti-Jersey taunting, if there is anything I can do to send that sleazy prick to the political dungheap...just ask.)

15. Corzine has done a pretty poor job as governor
he should have stayed a Senator. Because of that move the party is vulnerable to some Rovian hench men running for the position.

16. I'm with you on this....
I was never a fan of Corzine as Governer, and he's proven me right for the most part.

I don't hate him, but I do find that most NJ residents find it hard to defend him on a lot of issues and things he's done. I surely don't want Christie to win but I'm not exactly sympathetic to Corzine's woes either.

17. Corzine lacks leadership ability
he has failed to create and express a good vision for the state of NJ. With out that, there is nothing to work toward and the state has been just drifting along aimlessly.

18. I'll admit...
I never saw the issue with him (or anyone) spending their own money to win office. I always figured better that than being beholden to other outside interests. However, I see now with Corzine that as you pointed out, without a fundamental sense of leadership and vision to go along with it, just having business accumen isn't enough. I'll admit he's in a tough situation in general and there are outside circumstances at work here as well. But he's really done nothing as far as I can see to counter that and to move on this stuff.

He should have stayed in the Senate.

Exactly he should have stayed there
However I think he liked the perks of being Governor (the mansion, the security detail, the big staff). What's worse is to take that position he pushed out popular Democrat Richard Cody, who was getting raves as the temporary fill in.

19. We've drifted aimlessly for decades
I'm surprised we haven't broken off and become an island. From Christie Witless to Corzine, ll we have is debt and doubts about leadership. BUT, I'd rather live here than anywhere else in the country.

21. I would agree, NJ is still a pretty good place
however some good political leadership would certainly be helpful. Like you said this state hasn't seen good leadership in a long time. I did have some hope for Corzine. I figured since he ran on his own dime he would be indebted to no one and would be able to get things done.

20. What we don't have
Wildfires, mudslides, earthquakes (real rare above 3.5) that would destroy civilization, hurricanes (rare) tornadoes (even rarer) fire ants, poisonous snakes, wolves grizzly bears and other dangerous predators, crazed hunters and NRA pandering gun laws, killer floods, sandstorms, impossible heat and cold.

it's a nice place to live in.

24. Yes, exactly....
our property values remain some of the highest in the nation because it's such a horrible place and so few people want to live here (sarcasm). And despite some downturn recently due to taxes, we still have a ton of companies in this state, and also close and easy access to 2 major cities (NYC and Philly) for which we can look for jobs. Meanwhile all the people I know who moved from here to other parts of the country (most notably NC and/or GA) who were going to live like kings and queens in those places because of the property costs and low taxes are trapped in whatever jobs they went down there for because there are just no other options.

able to survive here in spite of the costs. Besides, there is nothing like waking up and watching the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean from any of the jersey shore points.
