A new female kitten will join the family this weekend. Help Name Her!
I am taking name suggestions. A girl kitty, 3 months old, will be joining the family. She swam to kayakers to be rescued. We have one fat cat named Sokie. Every name will be considered.

2. I like that, it will go to the 'short list'.
I met a woman who lived at a campsite in the woods. She had two exotic birds in a cage and a cat named 'mouse' that would follow her around.

6. Here ya go:
These are Sokie. I have no idea what the kitty looks like. It doesn't matter to me, but my wife just might be a feline-racist. She is dying to know the color, hair length, etc.

22. We think she is part maine-coon, but not sure.
The vet says she is healthy, just fat. We have her on a strict diet, but thinks she has a food route somewhere. She was fat when we got her and has never changed. But, she is a sweetie. We love all of her!

36. That's a great name.
I had a kitty I called Etheldread, from Aethelred. I was reading the history of Northern Europe at the time we got her.

41. I can't remember anything except the fact
that I liked the name and since the kitten was truly crazy, "dread" worked better than "red" so you know better than I. She ended up being one of those cats who would play fetch, and go for walks like a dog... my all-time favorite pet.

Phoebeast. That's cute.

I was going to suggest what seems like the obvious.... Kayak. Or a kayak manufacturer - but I don't know any and didn't turn anything up in a less than thorough peek at google.

Gertrude Ederle ((A great swimmer, not quite as glamorous as Esther, but she was first female to swim the English Channel.)

And of course, you can always call her Esther or Gertie for short.
The swimming is very impressive.
Best wishes and all good vibes to her.
