OMG! WTF!
My boyfriend loaded my mp3 player with some songs. He's got the weirdest tastes; he likes the 70's and 80s in additon to the modern hard stuff. It's nothing to have his radio go from Slipknot to Neil Diamond. New Wave, Disco, lounge music, he's got it.

Anyway...

I'm listening to this song and it's the saddest damned song I've ever heard. The title says it's Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun.

I'm blubbering like a child in the middle of the office and I can't stop and people are looking at me like I'm an idiot.

I'm going to kill him!

He would have scored a flawless victory had he included Nothing to Fear in it's entirety.

I'm already puffy and my eyes are red. Thank God I don't wear make-up or I'd be a wreck.

I was just collecting myself when Family Portrait by Pink started playing and I puddled up again. I had to FF to some Rage Against the Machine.

not necessarily the lyrics - you get caught up in the songs movement

I mean really, did we know what the lyrics were about beyond mom was scared and dad came home safe?

Even though we watched the FBI every Sunday night with our folks, did we really know what it was about or about the Chicago gangsters of old?

5. I love that song! Also love "Shannon"
Nothing beats my roommate's music collection: the car CD changer currently has one Matisyahu, two Rammstein, one assortment of Finnish folk music (some good yoik on it), and a CD of songs about space travel (that was a fundraiser for Mars exploration).

Kinda band in the very early sixties?

The thing is, his song "Seasons in the Sun" sold like 15 million copies.

The guys had the Honey House and a guided tour, singing this stupid song.

I am no Elvis fan, but on that song - its the closest thing to a political song he's ever done

And he talks about poverty - shows me he was an OK guy...
