No fasting for me this season. |
|
I've been battling Gall Bladder/Pancreatitis issues all month. I haven't had a full meal since Sept 16th, and what little I have been able to eat has landed me in the E.R. 4 times since then.
Things are just too shaky to try a 4 day no food/water fast. I will head up the mountain next weekend if at all possible for the last Bear Dance of the season, and to participate in a sweatlodge ceremony. This really is bumming me out, but I just don't have the juice to put myself through that much physical duress.
On the upside I have consults with the G.I. and Surgical teams at the V.A. the week after next so this issue will be resolved by removing my gallbladder. Hopefully my schedule will allow me to participate in the spring fast, and awaking of the Bear Dance ceremony.
Thank you to all that expressed concern for me.

1. I'm so glad that you decided against this right now. |

It sucks to have G.I. issues, but to stress your body that hard on top of it could have been very dangerous.
Wishing you a quick and successful resolution to your ailments. :hi:

I am sorry you won't be able to participate in the fast, but you have your priorities straight...
You should be all healed by the Spring!
We want you to stay healthy, after all...
