Computer connectivity problem: Between 6:30-9:30 PM every night I begin
to lose my internet connection. The "bars" fade down from 5 to 1 and its almost impossible to go anywhere on the 'net. Its just dead.

Is this a satellite problem or what?

I live in Chicago on the lakefront so one would think that we would have a good connection but I guess its just the opposite - too many people signed on?

Thanks.

1. What is your connection?
Cable, Satellite, DSL, Wireless? Could be anything.

2. I had a problem with my laptops, it was the indoor cable connecting with the router.
I bought a new cable and everything is working fine.

4. heavy traffic at that time
will slow things down.
I have a friend who workds in a network operations center for a major ISP
He told me once that the heaviest traffic times are Monday mornings and weekday evenings.
