Afte spending many years in Catholic school--and, more notably, many more years with my uber-Catholic old-school relations--I have learned that old-fashioned Catholicism deemed everything "right" to be "of God" and "correct", while everything "left" was "sinister" (yeah, they're twisting the literal definition), "evil", "of the devil". That's why crazed nuns with rulers whacked lefties till they learned to use their right hands--otherwise they were going to grow up to be evil.
, I know.

5. I've heard that about nuns before, forcing students to use their right hands. |
|
Not that that behavior was restricted to nuns, by any means.
