Skin translucency

When I was drying off after taking a shower last night I suddenly realized how easy it was to see all the veins under my skin, especially the skin of my upper chest, shoulders, and lower arms. I have a very ruddy complexion because of the color of the blood showing through my skin.

2. I'm pretty pale too

and I have the same thing - someone told my my veins are just very close to my skin - I always thought my skin was more translucent than others too. I am sometimes self-conscious about it - especially the back of my hands. Makes me look old but I've been like this since I can remember -- my ankles and feet too. Not very attractive...... oh well.... not life threatening and when I donate blood they have no trouble finding a vein.

Maybe it makes us superior and sexy. (Let's just tell people that.) :)

It went something like, "I'm a Scottish person. Scottish people aren't white. We're sort of a pale blue. It takes us two weeks of tanning to get white."

And Timeline should have been taken out and shot.

19. Me too. When I was in HS a girlfriend try to rub the "ink mark"off under my eye.

I ouched and ran into the bathroom, looked in the mirror and found she was trying to rub off a vein that was showing.

22. I have veins very visible on my chest, inner arms and hands too,

but on me they are blue. I thought blood doesn't turn red until it hits oxygen. I may be wrong, but on me the veins are blue! Very ugly.
