I've just finished watching 'Young Frankenstein'
My goodness, what a funny movie. Gene Wilder saying to Terri Garr, "Put the candle back" man, I waS laughing. Then, the creature dancing to Fred Astire's 'Putting On The Ritz'..... just genius!

What were your most enjoyable moments from this film?

This is the same man who blew off the doors in The French Connection and The Conversation.

14. Oddly enough...
Peter Boyle was originally offered Hackman's role in French Connection, but turned it down for personal reasons.

28. Did you know that Hackman had to audition for this scene?
They didn't think he could do comedy!

Also, he was uncredited in the credits...his name is not shown as the blind monk.

A true cameo performance!

:hi:

29. Yeah, I heard that.
I read he just walked into the audition and asked to try out. Left everyone

He's a great character actor; he does it all.

3. Marty Feldman as Igor when he first appeared
as the third head on a shelf and starts singing "I got no body" just broke me up when I first saw it.
That and the shifting back hump.
But the best was the short:
Frankenstein: "Werewolf?"
Igor: "There wolf. There castle."

And after the monster hears the violin music and leaves Madeline Kahn after screwing her.

"Where you going? Oh, you men are all alike. Seven or eight quick ones and then you're out with the boys to boast and brag! You better keep your mouth shut! Oh, I think I love him!"

13. "Frau Bloucher" - "Neeeeiiiiiiigh"
And then Igor leaning out the door - "Bloucher!"

Just to tease the horses.

Oh, also, the scene where Igor's hump moves and the Dr. mentions it and Igor says, "What hump?"

Actually, the entire fucking movie is hilarious.

I have it on LaserDisc. It might be time to watch it again.

He looks into the camera almost the entire time. That

epic.
