9. I remember seeing a Lotus Europa around the NASA-JSC area

in the '70s. Probably not an astronaut's car, though ;)

I had forgotten the name of that white ball, but it's called the Rover and is pretty scary/intimidating.

8. The mouth animation in this cartoon scared me shitless when I was a tot.

I couldn't watch Speed Racer, Clutch Cargo or any of the other toons from the same producers, because the superimposition of the real mouth on the cartoon face just creeped me the living fuck out. Truth be told, it still does.

11. Speed Racer didn't use the Syncro-Vox process.

It was just standard cheap anime of the time.

There were several Syncro-Vox cartoons other than Clutch Cargo. I've mentioned Space Angel, but there was another one called Captain Fathom. Never seen that one, so it may not have gotten much airtime.
