6. That's probably because it really is different wherever you go in town.
Here, the accumulation from earlier is melting, mostly gone in our courtyard. It's still snowing, so maybe as the temps drop it'll stick again...

12. Yesterday, the temps in Boston reached record highs, almost 70!!
So you guys in Houston should enjoy your snow.

We have dozens of ski areas in New England, usually open by Thanksgiving, not open yet.

Have fun skiing in Texas!

14. Saw three wrecks coming home from work ...
I didn't see three wrecks that had already happened. I watched three wrecks take place.

Funny thing ... there was no snow on the ground, just the wet, melted stuff. I finally decided that these wrecks, all of them rear-enders, were caused by drivers staring up into the sky wondering, :wtf: is all that white stuff?

Houston traffic scares me at the best of times. It was positively insane out there today. I'm glad I'm home and have nowhere to go until Monday.

17. The problem with Houston drivers
is that they look up into the sky and go :wtf: no matter what kind of precipitation we're getting. It wasn't like this 20 years ago. I'd like to know why it changed.

16. Too bad there aren't any hills in Houston.
The best part of rare snowstorms in the NW is turning on the news and watching all the noobs sliding down the hills in their cars when they try to drive.
