1. My dear mix...
Anyone who has ever loved, has had their heart broken.

It's inevitable.

From that pain can come wonderful prose or poetry, or nearly anything artistic...

2. Once, in high school.
I was going to run away and join the Navy.
:eyes:
Happily it was a passing thought that I was fairly easily talked out of.
:-)
Young Love.

7. Many, many times.
One does survive. It's always very difficult but it helps to remember that no one else in the world is responsible for your happiness in life but yourself.

of that which at first seemed absolutely perfect.

11. Not that I can remember.... I always tried to be the dumper, not the dumpee.
Usually you can see it coming and get out before the breakage is too bad.

12. Honestly...no. I haven't.
That's probably going to make me sound like some kind of cold asshole, I suppose. But every serious relationship I've been in where I've been dumped or cheated on, my reaction and subsequent feelings weren't remotely akin to heartbreak.

Guess I'm just lucky. Or really, really messed up in the head.

15. Hi mix--hope this is just a rhetorical question
Edited on Fri Dec-04-09 11:33 PM by abq e streeter
if not, hope you get over it soon, and you WILL get over it.....( p.s, I voted yes, only because "hell yes, too many times to even count" was not an option). On another subject,it must be FREEZING up in Pecos; it's damn cold down here in Albq..........And on yet another, next Sat. the 12th is that show I mentioned awhile back at the El Rey theater in downtown Albq. Gonna post about it in the NM forum too, with a you tube from last year's show...wish I could tell you it'll be crawling with single women, but we draw an older crowd and most ( not all, of course) are attached..... ya never know though.....on edit---couldn't get you tube to work ( again)

24. I'll try to get down there, thanks for the invite...
Pecos was an ice cube for a few days, we got a lot of snow too...I am not heartbroken now, but I've been through that misery many times like others here.

Happy Holidays!

17. Yeah.
But, for better or worse, it's part of life. And part of love. I experienced it a few times during my high school/undergrad days. But eventually, I found my sweetheart.

So I guess in that sense, I'm lucky. Or maybe flvegan's really, really messed up in the head.

19. No.
The one really, really messy breakup I had was honestly too messy to be heartbroken about. I was too busy trying to not get killed until his crazy ass got distracted by something shiny.

26. Twice. One special person from each gender.
Not because I like to be fair but because I had genuine emotional and physical feelings for them.

Life happens.
