6. Thanks for bringing this up. It's a story close to my heart.

My dad used to be a rep for a pharmaceutical company that carried Campho-Phenique. And we always had samples around the house.

One day, my dad calls me over to his side and says, "What are you calling it?". Then he proceeds to walk me through the proper phonetics.

I'd been calling it camfuckineek.

He made sure I knew the right way.

I was probably 7 or so.

This is probably '65 or so.

I used it on my ears after getting my ears pierced when I was 11....didn't realize at the time it was bad to put that stuff on open wounds.
