What's the worst tasting cough medicine you've ever had?

I have bronchitis, so I've been on an antibiotic, and a cough syrup with codeine added called Guiatussin. It's the worst tasting shit EVER. It makes me pine for the golden days of Nyquill and Robitussin.

Their advertising even mentions how awful it is. There used to be a talk show up here where the host would get American guests to try it. It was very funny.

It tastes kinda like Neutrogena T-Gel smells, only about a thousand times worse. It does work, though.

I know it's for kids, but hey, why should we have to suffer too?

The cough syrup with codeine that I ususally get from my doctor already has it in it. Orange taste that isn't too bad.

I can take codeine in pill form but in liquid form, it gives me a major headache.

I found this out years ago when I had pneumonia and the doc prescribed a bottle. I took it once, got a huge headache and didn't touch it again.

A couple of days later, I got so bad the doc put me in the hospital. I sent my husband home to get me some clothes and a book and waited. And waited. And waited.

Finally the phone rang and when I answered it, I heard my husband's voice saying, "Schlock blmock flook schmook blumm blumm magga grosh splock..."

I said, "You drank that whole bottle of codeine cough medicine, didn't you?"

Ex husband actually. That man was a walking disaster. :eyes:

pronounced fen-ur-gin, the NASTIEST tasting shit on this planet. The color was a putrid green and every time I took it I wanted to throw up
