Any furries on here get harrassed or banned from some forums for being a furry?

Because i've been to some and got either harrassed or banned.

Any other furson had that happen to them other than me?

Even in the Lounge of a political site that topic is not one I really want to see. If you really want to talk about that here, ask the admins for a groups forum where you can talk to your heart's content.

37. This has not happened to me, but I also don't consider myself a furry.

While I "identify" with the centaur form, it doesn't occupy all my waking thoughts. It's just something that I like and can incorporate into fiction.

My guesses on why people would ban and harass is that they get "creeped out" by the idea of it. Then others begin to equate it with beastiality, without bothering to attempt to understand the reasons for someone getting into it. And still others will never accept the concept that there is a deeply felt spiritual connection to being a furry, and so, lash out at what they cannot tolerate.

It's a harmless hobby, that obviously, can be, and is, taken to extremes. Especially sexual ones.
Anime is likewise, as is Star Trek, Star Wars, just about any fandom.

But most of the "fursuiters' are a small minority, (since a fursuit can cost a lot of $$$,) most furries enjoy good furry art.

There are also lots of furry comic strips, that range from the slice-of-life that gets silly at times, (Sabrina On-Line and Kevin n' Kell,) to VERY violent and XXX rated strips. (Like Jack.)

Yeah, I don't get whatever it is that makes one "furry", just like I don't get what it is to be gay, or sado-masochist, or republican.

Furry brings out the emotional in people - but for me it's just a quiet, but interesting idea. I'm completely unemotional about it - other than I'm interested in from a psychological standpoint. I like understanding what makes people tick, and other people's perspectives.

2. All moral decisions/prejudices are not based on reason. It is simple emotion and all"logical" reasons are just made up after the fact. Even when all logical reasons are disproven it just feels wrong. You can't out argue emotion.

I'm guessing it's a power/control issue. People mock me for being overly sensitive to "realistic" depictions of violence in movies and TV. That's their problem if they can't fathom these ideas. Best thing to do is hit the ignore button :)

I do mostly get the furry thing, and agree it's harmless. But some people are not only turned off by it, but seemingly "threatened" by it, or they wouldn't react as they do. I really don't see the point in getting upset over this, but some people seem to live for it ;)
