I plan on it!
I'm hoping there won't be any mudslides either...if the rain's gentle, we might be lucky.

5. The prediction is for rain all week. Starting Sunday night. |
|
And it is predicted to be heavy. There is no question there will be landslides all over. Most particularly the area of the station fire. dc

Rolling Hills Estates....not the whole house fortunately. Just the deck. But,afterwards the whole house did a very slow crawl towards the brink for the 5 years we lived there. Very scary.

Are you sure.. seems it never rains in California .. I spent the whole day looking for a new place to live, and it was cold outside, but sunny. We could use some rain, but I am not sure I want to be out in it.

also a notable penultimate line from "The Terminator" (1) As a California resident, you must have the movie committed to memory before the end of 2010.

23. Well, once again CP, I completely misunderstood the intent of this thread based on its title |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-06-09 12:31 AM by Amerigo Vespucci
I just sat down in front of the computer with a freshly-brewed cuppa joe, and as the steam from the mug rose to my cheeks I saw "Storm's a-coming..." by CaliforniaPeggy and immediately had visions of a new poem, set on a pirate schooner, filled with eye-patched, peg-legged hooligans and buxom serving wenches, and all the revelry that the high seas is known for. Suddenly the jubilant atmosphere is broken by the pirate captain as he proclaims...most likely prededed by a gutteral "Harrrrrrrrrrrrrr, mateys,"
"Storm's a-coming..."
But it wasn't that, it was a couple of photos in which it looks like a storm's a-coming.
Don't get me wrong...it's not that I don't appreciate them, and yes, they are filled with the wonder and majesty of mother nature, but I had myself mentally prepared for the bard to take me on a journey through salty seadogs and the women who should know better but CLEARLY do not.

Ah, it's Saturday Night in the Lounge!
I guess I'll have to be much more careful about my thread titles....esp. on Saturday night, lol!
Glad you liked them, in spite of your disappointment, sweetie!
And yes, lots of women CLEARLY do not know better...;)
