Turner Classic Movies is showing the Frank Capra documentaries, "Why We Fight" about the events leading up to the U.S. involvement in World War II and after. These films were made in 1943-'44-'45 when people were able to see what was happening in the world only in the movie house newsreels between double features.

2. Capra used a lot of German propaganda films in this series.
He figured that would be the best way to show how dangerous Nazis are. It also save the War dept lot of money. He was right on both counts.
