Question for Stephanie Miller fans: |
|
Has Jim Ward left the show? I haven't heard him or heard his name mentioned since the partial move to New York.

1. She mentioned the other day that Jim comes in after the first hour... |
|
Not sure why, but she said something about Jim getting to "sleep in."
I listen to the first hour and miss his hilarious voices!!

Jim just comes in for hours 2 and 3 now-a-days. He really did seem to have more trouble than Steph and Chris getting in there on time, didn't he?
I also like the fresh blood (Media Matters guys, Hal (LOVE!), John Fugelsang, etc) and am glad Right Wing World made a re-appearance.

3. when and where on the dial in the NY area is she on? |
|
Maybe I can pick her up in New Haven...I miss her so much. I really cherished her when I first found her in the dark days following the 2004 election. Jim Ward nearly sent me off the road while I was driving on several occasions, I was laughing so hard. God, she and the mooks were lifesavers in those days...

... $4.95/month if you pay a year in advance (GLING!). Seriously, I can piss away 4.95 a month on one Starbucks so to have three hours of Steph and crew each day? Awesome.
(I also get Randi on podcast so I've always got lots of fun stuff to listen to.)

5. Jim is there, but he doesn't do as many bits anymore.. |
|
I miss his "stand up news" skits, I used to choke on my elitist latte every time! Especially when he voiced the molested sheep or some other mammalian character. I guess he's getting a lot of professional work, and good for him! But us Steph fans feel the void, Dude.
Also a podcast subscriber. I discovered Steph after Air America ripped "Morning Sedition" from the airwaves. (Idiots. That was my favorite) Steph has been a good substitute, but I'll be bummed if Jim is gradually phased out.

6. Jim Ward doing Drunkie McPukeshoes was my fave. |
|
And all of the foreign heads of state where Jim's ability to mimic accents was so evident, plus he was funny. One of his Berlusconi bits endangered my life behind the wheel of my car. Once I couldn't get out of my car to go for physical therapy, I couldn't stop laughing hysterically at his routine about a news report where a guy attempted to have sex with a vacuum cleaner...
My other biggest laughs always came out of his Bill Clinton skits that ended with Hillary hitting him with a frying pan...
