5. That's not even in Midtown!
Morningside Heights is way up by Columbia University (the place is on West 100th). It's a "gentrifying" area, but holy crap! :wow:

7. I was gonna guess a parking spot, so in comparison a whole studio is pretty good
I think that could be fun, if you're really into the strategizing like these people seem to be...

8. I never thought that there was
anything smaller than a Manhattan pied a terre. I was wrong. You would have to really want, or need, to live in Manhattan to do this. Makes some of the working-class spaces in Tokyo or Hong Kong look generously proportioned.

Sheesh.

10. Hell, my place is smaller than that.
Of course, I wasn't dumb enough to plop down 150K on it, either.

13. I have to wonder what kind of "maintenance" that $700 is buying?
Must be some rich maintenance people that work that building ;)

And $700 is my rent. I hope to see that as a mortgage payment eventually, too :)

They're joggers and seem to be health-nuts, but they don't cook their own meals? Yet they buy champagne by the case :eyes:

18. A lightly-used pickup truck, a bed-mounted camper...
...and a parking spot for it.

Drive it out to Westchester or Jersey as needed to refill the water and drain the septic system.

Oh, and you'll need a long extension cord.

:D
