Holy crap - Northern Arizona Blizzard |
OK. 18-24 inches of snow is not something I haven't seen before. But add 40 MPH winds (gusting 50 MPH to 70 MPH) and that is an impressive sight.
Even my wife is astonished - and she lived in Wyoming.

1. My sister and brother in law lived in Flagstaff for a little over 10 years... |
and I don't think they experienced a winter storm that bad...

2. I used to run across I-40 there all the time |
And I know what is possible there, especially in the higher elevations like Flagstaff. The first time I witnessed a big snow there I thought, "What the fuck? This is Arizona? It's supposed to be hot and dry here all the time."

3. heh, you have more snow than we do |
we've got about 2 inches on the ground, and we're up for a winter storm warning for tomorrow. Even that isn't going to bring that much snow. Supposed to be getting a mixture of snow, sleet, and rain.
