After 54 YEARS- As The World Turns is cancelled
It's official. After speculations, rumors and false starts, CBS has officially decided that "As the World Turns" will go off air this September.

As with ATWT sister show GL and NBC's Passions, the newly canceled show is hoping to find a new home, but that's not likely to pan out, considering how Passions fumbled on Direct TV and GL couldn't manage to make it happen. Then again, one never knows…

2. I feel sorry for all the oldies who watched that show every single day
My Grandma watched her stories "Days of our Lives" and other soaps every single day. Her day revolved around them. Soaps are a dying breed.

37. I'll tell you when Jesus wept.
About the time Reba was cloned. And then there were the endless weeks she time-traveled through a painting. I stopped watching it several years ago.

I used to watch "As The World Turns" with my mom way back in the Pleistocene era, beginning soon after we got our first TV.

10. Wonder how much longer Young & Restless will be around.

They've already cut the salaries of Victor Newman, Nikki Newman, Jill Abbott, and probably others as well.

I wouldn't be suprised if they expanded B&B to a full hour.

fathered everyone on the show. My aunt watches and she calls it Victor's Sperm.

26. Or Brooke Logan on Bold and the Beautiful
You think of all the kids she has had and their connection. She's had 2 kids with Eric, Ridge (Who thought he was Eric's son), Jack (who is Ridge's brother and once her daughter's boyfriend), and Deacon (who was her daughter's boyfriend).

Scary.

seems to be a real storyline staple.

32. No, and on soaps, every time a couple has sex the woman gets pregnant.

APparently, they are (1) amazingly fertile, (2) never use birth control.

11. I use to love "As the World Turns" - watched it all the time
I just couldn't commit to taping it regularly.

I hope Lily and Holden have a happily ever after.

And ATWT tackled some great topics along with having a great supercouple with Luke & Noah. I hope those 2 live happily ever after too!

I was about 8 years old and couldn't figure out how that could happen. I do know that the local moms considered it a shocking plot line.

I vaguely remember something like that because I got the impression that it was illegal for married people to have a baby unless they had been married at least one year. Funny things little kids think up.....

on the show. Looks like he's out of a job.

ATWT was my mother's favorite of all the "stories".
