December 16: National Chocolate Covered Anything Day

All chocolate lovers should celebrate this special day! Why not prepare a special "chocolate covered anything" tasting for your family or friends tonight? Start with the old standards: strawberries, Nilla Wafers, bananas, marshmallows, cherries and pretzels. Then get a little more daring. How about these for suggestions?

Chocolate Covered Frogs (of course these are the gummy frogs you buy at candy stores.)

Chocolate Covered Coconut: Melt 1 bag of chocolate chips and pour over 1 bag of sweetened coconut. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper covered cookie sheet and chill for at least four hours.

Chocolate Covered Potato Chips: Dip chips in melted chocolate and cool. Decorate with drizzles of white chocolate.

Chocolate Covered Rice Krispy Treats: Purchase packaged Rice Krispy Treats, stick a popsicle stick in like a lollipop, dip in melted chocolate, decorate for the holiday and chill.

Chocolate Covered Broccoli: Wash and dry broccoli flowerets, dip in mixture of melted chocolate, peanut butter and sea salt. Let cool and store in refrigerator. YUM?

Last but not least: Chocolate Covered Bacon: Surprisingly tasty!

This is not a joke...:D

I'll go for the chocolate covered cake, pie, Christmas tree...

Actually a better b'day present would be that Senate proposal to extend Medicare to those who're 55. Cuz guess how old I'm gonna be next week???
