Can you sneeze with your eyes open? |
|
I have read that most have a reflex that causes us to close our eyes when we sneeze, and that some don't have that reflex.
Are you one of those folks who can sneeze without closing your eyes?
:D

I always hate having to sneeze when I'm driving. I tend to wait for a clear patch in traffic, if I can, before I sneeze.

3. No! And in fact, it would be dangerous to try! |

I don't believe that some people don't have the reflex: in fact, the reflex that closes our eyes doesn't just shut our eyelids; it closes them TIGHTLY ---
If you didn't close your eyes while sneezing, your eyeballs would pop out, ejected by the power of the sneeze. The tight closing of the eyelids holds the eyeballs in.

4. Nope and I have tried. |

Especially while driving down the highway. Allergies and chronic sinus infections make me a repeat offender when it comes to sneezing.
