16. I'm going to try to use hand sanitizer to get the trunk open. |
|
If that doesn't work, I'm going to the Advanced Auto parts. I need to get into that trunk. There is a bottle of bourbon in there and it's supposed to get down to 8. Mommy dearest forgot to get the bottle out of the trunk over the Thanksgiving holiday. As much as I like bourbon, the idea of a bourbon scented trunk is not appealing to me.

7. It is only about 24 here with a wind chill of 13. |
|
The wind is only gusting up to 28 mph. It still feels frickin cold when you are out in it, so I pity you that have it worse.
Livetohike, I am sorry about your tree. Hope it did not damage anything when it fell. Our trees are pretty safe I guess. Last May we had a straight wind of 60-106 for almost an hour and a lot of the trees here were either downed or snapped in two. We lost a tree top in our yard, but nothing else. So if our trees are still standing, I trust they were remain so. ;)

:hi: We live in the woods so there are plenty of trees, but this one was the closest to the house and thankfully it fell in the other direction. We are going to have wind gusts up to 60 mph until midnight :scared:.
I guess we are getting your weather tonight. It's going down to 12 degrees.

years. We are getting a foot of snow where I live. As long as the wind stops tomorrow I'll be fine with it.

21. We've scraped ice off our cars for 2 days in a row now! |
|
Also, I work for the airlines, and who wudda thought SFO would have frost on the planes parked at the gates overnight???? De-icing is a pain, as well as an environmental hazard, so someone suggested we get a couple bottles of Stoli and pour them over the fuselage. I said only if we could grab straws and stop it from hitting the ground as it dripped off the wings.
Vodka on the rocks with a twist!
Stay warm, everyone.
