Has anyone used the 'Bill Me Later' option on internet purchases? |
|
How well does it work? Do they mess up billing?

It seems like it would be okay to do though. I mean mistakes happen but even if they mess it up it could probably be corrected easily.
I think there's a place online you can check a stores rating on that kind of thing...

3. Essentially it's like an instant credit card |

You get a grace period where you can pay for the purchase without interest, or you can make minimum payments while the balance accrues interest at rather high rates.
I tried it once or twice when it first launched, but didn't see the advantage over my usual credit card, and saw potential for overlooking it and getting hit with some big interest and/or fees and possibly a credit report hit. YMMV.
And if you DON'T have any credit cards, I could see the appeal. Just be careful.
