30. Its interesting how you balance both personal and external issues.

Actually, personally the decade hasn't been too bad for me.

I've graduated, started my professional career, got married, become a father, become a homeowner, taken some nice trips, made some good friendships.

On the downside, my grandfather--my last living grandparent--passed away. But other than that, the 2000s haven't been that bad for me personally, all things considered.

But externally, this decade just sucks, sucks, sucks.

I also had a son go to college on a full ride, graduate with honors, and go to grad school on a full scholarship.

My daughter graduated high school and is doing well in college.

I took some wonderful, once in a lifetime trips.

Alabama won the SEC.

50. This has definitely been the most important decade of my life.

I graduated high school. Started college. Grandparents, who helped raise me, both died. I turned 16. I turned 18. I turned 21. I got my driver's license. I got my first car. I wrecked my first car. I got a new car. I was in the longest relationship of my life. I ended the longest relationship of my life.

Certainly some of these things have been good. But ultimately, it's been the hardest decade of my life.

And to be fair, I've only lived through two full decades. haha
