Do you have names for inanimate objects in your house?
We have a mail holder/drawer thingy, I don't know how to describe it - well, here's a picture of something similar

except ours is larger and made of wood.

We named it Spencer.

We have another one, one with 31 slots for bills and a couple of drawers. Its name is Kate.

Do you name inanimate objects in your house?

1. My shop vac is named "R4".
It is red with a black cap and I can't look at it without thinking "R4".

4. Well, not in my house, but objects used for camping. The huge
green plastic container with wheels is named "Greenie". The smaller clear plastic wheeled container is named "Wheelie". I feel so silly.

5. After my moms aneurysm and craniotomy she wore Henry
a blue helmet to protect her brain between surgeries. After her 3rd surgery she got a new helmet, Henry's french cousin Henri'. She was on a lot of pain killers. hehe

She is doing great now and we are planning a ceremony to bury Henry, or perhaps a service at sea.

6. Not so much on the home front
but I used to work with a copy machine named Brunhilda. I never once was able to send a census through her, that I did not have to open every panel, drawer, and doo-hinky, to remove snarled paper.

7. Only for inanimate animal/human art
We have a fairly large camel we call Astor and a beautiful Dogon statue of a Guard on a Horse that we call Ralph and Portnoy.

Oh and our GPS is named Doris.
