First Law School Acceptance Today--Northeastern!!!
It is actually my first choice school (liberal, no grades, co-op, public interest), but it quite a bit more expensive than the closer and more practical Chapel Hill. We'll see. It feels good to have an acceptance letter in my hand!

2. Very cool! My dad went to NE for his undergrad years. (I think he was supposed to go
to Suffolk Law school after that but the draft got in the way.)

4. It really is my dream school.
I applied to others just in case someone wanted to give me a full ride.

9. A full ride would be great, though. Life is easier when you aren't
living it under a mountain of debt.

10. Congratulations
that's my alma mater, really excellent school. They recently changed the co-op program to require less time on co-op and graduate in 4 instead of 5 years. I don't know if that means one year less tuition, but I can say the co-op was extremely valuable and I'll be sad to see the unique species known as "Middler" go extinct. :)

12. It is a three-year program now.
The first year like other law schools and the last two years doing quarters. Co-op-class-co-op-class. At the end, I will have had 4 different co-ops. What is a Middler?

Middler was what you were in the middle year of the 5 year program. Freshman, sophomore, middler, junior, senior.

I got a degree in Computers from NE in 1980.

23. My son graduated from NE a year ago
One of the reasons he ended up there was because of the scholarship money. If they do things the same way as when he started they give out some aid based on SAT scores. Certain amount of money for various scores on the SATs.
Congrats on the acceptance.
