I wrote a song based off "This Land is Your Land" (more accurate version?)

It's also my first attempt at some sort of creative writing that I've shared, so give feedback.

My ship went on forth, and made landfall

I got a musket, and you don’t got one
So why don’t you get off, or I’ll blow your head off

I gave you blankets, all filled with smallpox
I marched you on a trail, on a river of tears
I killed your tribesmen, put you on a reservation

This land is my land, and it’s not your land
I got a bull whip, and you have a leg chain
I cry Southern values, to justify a horrid evil

The voting booth is my place, and the kitchen your place
My flesh is my flesh, and your flesh is my flesh
I cry it’s the will of God, and of family values
This flesh was made for only me.

This school is my school, that school is your school
This sign says whites only, that one says for colereds
We are se-par-ate, and very quite unequal
This land was made for only me

I can walk down the aisle, with the one I love
But not you dear mate, you got the wrong genes
It’s nothing personal, but we need family values
Marriage was made for only me

I have been unable, to stop the march of justice
We’ve been down a long road, both you and me
We’ve traveled so far, and I must admit it
This land was made for you and me.

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California, to the New York islands
From the Redwood forests, to the Gulfstream waters
This land was made for you and me.

Although, I've heard kids singing "This land is my land, and its not your land I got a musket, and you don’t got one
So why don’t you get off, or I’ll blow your head off" for years.

I basically picked that up and ran with it for the whole song.

4. I yealled at a kid for singing that version once.

I was involved in a children's theater in junior college, and gave the kid an angry earful about defiling the legacy of Woody Guthrie.
