8. I think it's definitely in the top 3 best shows in recent years.

And this season was my favorite so far (but as others have said, watch it from the beginning). John Lithgow was amazing this season and I hope he gets some sort of recognition. Michael C. Hall is also incredible in the show. Get yourself the season 1 DVD, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

4. It's the best television writing I've ever seen in my life

(except for "Breaking Bad"), and I HATE television. Watch it from the beginning. It's amazing. Funny. Very dark. I have a Dexter party at my house every Sunday night to watch it.
