Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax To Tour Together
They should have Testament or Overkill open for them.

So far no US dates, but they'll do it.

Saw Metallica earlier this year. Something wasn't right. Think this might be different for them - they'd be better outdoors somehow. Plus Slayer. I'll go see this tour if it comes. This, and the next Maiden tour.

1. Why would Slayer and Anthrax want to tour with those two shit-bag bands?

2. Slayer will blow the rest of them away
Metallisoft has been a real-life Spinal Tap since, fittingly enough, the black album. One of those bands is a long-running joke, and it isn't the one with Hetfield.

Megadouche has become as turgid and reactionary as their figurehead, Dave Ruststain.

Anthrax - well, they would be functional as an opener, but like you, I would prefer Testament in that slot.

8. I want to correct my post
I meant to say "One of those bands is a long-running joke, and the other has Harry Shearer."

But I think I conveyed my displeasure with post-1988 Metallisoft quite well otherwise.

3. I think the problem with Metallica was that they are a bunch of douchebags
And Megadeth sucks. Other than that its a good show.

6. That ain't Megadeth.
They should be called "The Asshole Dave Mustaine And Whoever Is Playing With Him This Year."

5. I had a van full of people to see anthrax in a small venue
and I got a flat tire!! My buddy was so cool about it...he said we will catch the bus!! We did and everyone bussed it home. Good show BTW. They performed in an old movie theater.Rainbow City Music Hall. Great times. I have no idea when my ears stopped ringing.

11. True. He needs a preacher around him at all times to keep him off drugs and booze...
and to keep him from fucking other women besides his wife.

Really, if you listen to Megadeth's lyrics, though, it's not surprising. Mustaine put Christian references and imagery in every single album, going all the way back to their first release.

12. Does the preacher teach him how to not put on a boring concert?
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 05:59 PM by rcrush

14. Those lyrics were actually quite liberal until the recent release
Yes there is end of world imagery, but they were all tilted left until he was "born-again". I will listen to classic Megadeth but not the new material.

16. Hopefully there will be skid proof flooring on-stage...
...and plenty of nap time between rehearsals and sets. Wouldn't want one of them to slip and fall or fall to sleep.

Oh before anyone bitches I'm 41 and an Xer.

I just don't think this show will rock in any appreciable way.
