"I'm a gay man, I'm not a stalker!" |

Said the caller this morning who wanted the home address of our music director who is recovering from surgery so he could send her a plant.
I wasn't aware the two were mutually exclusive but, even so, we can't release home addresses without permission; something it took me approximately ten minutes to explain. All I could get in return was him telling me that it's an orchid and shouldn't be outside more than a couple of minutes. Yes, I get that. Still can't give an address without permission. He mentioned that the florist is local about sixty-five times. Still can't give an address without permission. After the aforementioned ten minutes of my trying to explain *and* get his phone number so I can call him back after I call her and get permission to give out her address, he said "Well, will you call her and then call me back telling me it's okay?"
Ten minutes can seem like an hour when dealing with a situation like this.
