Although I'm still enrolled to take a class that I've always wanted to take, I never will have to take another test again (just write a silly essay or two). It feels good to finish the degree though, doesn't it?
Second question: What did you study?

and another one leaves Santa Clara at 79.02 MPH, then do you want to get a beer at the tavern closest to where they will pass each other?
Really, though, congratulations!

6. thats about 3,000 miles on the highway |
|
If a car left New Haven averaging 98.14mph it would do the trek in a sultry 30 hours.
If a car left Santa Clara averaging 79.02mph it would to the trek in a respectable 38 hours.
This means the two cars are heading towards each other at a speed of 177.6mph. Because distance=rate*time and we now know distance and rate, we can solve for time. t=distance/rate. 3000/177.16 is about 17 hours.
Car 1 would have traveled 17 hours 1,670 miles whilst car 2 would have traveled 1,340 miles in 17 hours. This puts them almost exactly at the junction of the i-70 and i-80 in Big Springs Nebraska. So no, you do not want to stop and get a beer there.

I know exactly about wanting to finish what you started long ago. It was a 20 year gap for me ending in a BA in Liberal Studies and a concentration in Music.
