Just watched the new Trek movie.

I've been a Trekker since it's first started, back in 1966.
(And you bet the monsters scared me silly!) :-)

Now, the movie:

Good story, good acting, good effects.

One *BIG* gripe.

I hate the "shakeycam," and there was too much use of it in the movie.

1. The new Trek movie is pretty good, if you don't think about it.

The problem is that Star Trek's hallmark has always been giving you something to think about.

They should've used totally new characters and given it a different setting & premise. Maybe call it "Stargasm" and then no one gets it confused with the series that it clearly is not.
