I've gone to 37 different movies so far this year, and "Avatar" was far and away the best.

I cannot recommend "Avatar" highly enough. I've seen a lot of good movies, but this one was better than all the others. I just got back from seeing it this morning, and I'm already itching to see it again. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

1. What makes it good? Hopefully the story rather than the effects

2. I thought the story was great.
I mean, it's not like you can't guess some of the stuff that happens, but that didn't make it any less enjoyable. The acting, I thought, was very good, and the entire world Cameron has created from the ground up is so encompassing that it seems like he's thought of every tiny little detail, and it really shows throughout the film.

Also, the effects are the most amazing I've ever seen.

3. What do you think are some of the best films ever made.
I can not evaluate your judgement without knowing your tastes.

Have you ever seen Ikuru? Metropolis? The Best Years of our Lives? Akira?

I have gone to no movies this year. I have watched about 240 movies this year. Roughly half new to me and half ones I have seen many times.

5. Does it stop looking like a video game prior to the closing credits?

6. I never thought it looked like a video game once.
Though, if it did look like a video game, it was the most amazing-looking video game in the history of the world.

7. Really? Seriously?
Every second of every trailer I've seen looks like a video game. Even the bits where it's just two normal humans talking.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the film, but I'll wait for DVD.

8. What were some of the other movies
that were good that you show?

I really have no interest in seeing Avatar, even though I heard it's good.
