Are "roll out the barrel" and "the gang's all here" from the same song? |
|
And isn't "in the good old summer time" also somewhere in there, too?
I should probably just PM Scorpio about this.

1. Those lyrics are from the "Beer Barrel Polka". |
|
But, there was a 1915 song made famous by Fred Astaire called "Alabama Jubilee" that had "the gang's all here" in the chorus.
You ought to see deacon Jones When he rattles the bones, Old parson Brown foolin' 'roun like a clown, Aunt Jemima who is past eighty three, Shoutin' "I'm full o' pep! Watch yo' step!, watch yo' step! One legged Joe danced aroun' on his toe, Threw away his crutch and hollered, "let 'er go!" Oh, honey, hail! hail! the gang's all here For an Alabama jubilee

Beer Barrel Polka is not the same song as Alabama Jubilee. I appreciate you posting the lyrics to Alabama Jubilee.

6. Brings back memories of Brewer games at County Stadium |
|
Sang "Roll Out the Barrel" during the 7th Inning stretch.
And, of course, the obligatory vociferous debates amongst my fellow Cub Scouts over Whether Miller Lite Tasted Great or was Less Filling on the 4-hour bus ride home...
