Tui comes home ( new puppy pictures/pic heavy)

Tui (Too-E) is a 10 week old Dachshund. He is the newest member of our household.




We left out before first light.









We drove for several hours (thanks to the weather) & braved the elements and other road dangers.

Tui is currently chasing our other doggie around the house.

and then slept most of the way home. Now he's into everything!

I had a dachshund when I was 5 years old. His name was Manfred the Wonder Dog (c'mon, you Boomers remember Tom Terrific from the Captain Kangaroo show!) Anyway, my sis and I were a little too rambunctious for him, I think--although he loved Sis no matter how rough we were. Sweet dogs--and yours is a heartbreaker!

I had to crash earlier. Long day. Tui is being kennel trained and decided to whine me awake around 2:30 AM. A quick trip outside in the snow (he promptly tinkled again upon re-entering the house) and now I'm drinking coffee and he's playing in his daytime bed chewing on various toys. (when he's not chasing the big doggie around, that is)

Bless our 35 pounder's heart - he is being very gentle with Tui.(all of almost 2 pounds)

A long time ago my friend's 2 year old loved Buzz Lightyear and would go around the house with his arms outstretched saying "Too-Eeee! That was his way of saying "to infinity and beyond"
